Maria moved to Florida from upstate New York when she was 21. She has been in the medical field for over 30 years and is now finally working in the field she has always wanted to – with pets.  Maria has had many dogs and cats over the years, both rescued and adopted. She also volunteers at the Halifax Humane Society.

Maria has 2 daughters and 2 awesome grandsons, who were the inspiration for her to publish her first children’s book – about a little black dog, of course!  Maria is looking forward to a long career here at FAH!
