Layla was born and raised in Florida. Growing up she realized her passion for animals was as big as her heart. In high school, Layla would earn volunteer hours working with her mom (who was also a vet tech ) at an animal hospital and her passion for animals grew. At the end of her junior year of high school, Layla was one of the handful of students to take the veterinary assistant license program and the first student to pass in her county. After high school, she continued to follow her passion and worked as an emergency veterinary technician at an animal emergency center for four years. What Layla loves most about her job is knowing that every day she is making a difference and getting to help every fur baby she meets be their best, most comfortable self. When Layla's not working she loves to spend her time reading and competitively fishing in the Xtreme Series bass tournaments. Layla also enjoys spending time with her three cats Weewee, Monkey and Burnt Toast, and her husky named Jayla.
