Licensed Veterinary Technician, Inpatient Lead
Jessica H.
Jessica fell in love with animals at a young age. Growing up in upstate New York afforded her the opportunity to help all types of animals, including reptiles and wildlife. She knew as a youngster that she wanted to continue nursing sick animals and would someday make it her career. When she was 16, she was hired at a local veterinary hospital which solidified her career path helping animals. After graduating from high school, she attended the State University of New York at Delhi where she earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. Jessica continued to work as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the next 15 years at that same clinic.
In September 2014 she moved to Florida to be closer to her parents and was thrilled to join the Flagler Animal Hospital team. As an inpatient nurse, Jessica is grateful that she gets to do what she love. Her favorite part of the job is being able to provide compassion and comfort to your furry baby (or not so furry) while they stay in the hospital.
Jessica has a Chihuahua, Maya Bean, who comes to work with her every day. She also has a special love of sloths and opossums. When Jessica isn’t working, she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, dancing and volunteering for beach cleanup.
