Dr. William Smith grew up traveling the world with his family as his dad was an Army veterinarian. He has visited and lived in places such as Guam, Italy, and others. 

Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Florida and completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship to expand his knowledge while working with internists, surgeons, and criticalists. He then transitioned into general practice and emergency medicine. Dr. Smiths’ special interests include abdominal ultrasound, emergency, and general practice. 

Dr. Smith lives with his wife, Dr. Jenny Moreira, who is also a veterinarian. He has a Golden Retriever, Remy, and his diabetic cat, Ballerina. He enjoys traveling and visiting the beach with his family (including Remy).
