Dixie is from North Carolina and moved to Florida with her parents when she was 12 years old.  

She realized that she wanted to work with animals and enrolled in the veterinary technician program at St. Petersburg College, where she earned her AS in veterinary technology.   

Dixie enjoys taking care of our hospitalized patients during the overnight hours.  She also likes getting to know her patients’ owners and helping them feel at ease while their babies are hospitalized. 

Dixie has Pekingese, Elsa, two bearded dragons and 4 Indian Runner ducks.  The ducks are frequent and welcome visitors at FAH.

In her spare time, Dixie enjoys crafting all types of things.  She even has a small business on Etsy.
