Jenny – Surgical assistant

Jenny is originally from Illinois and moved to Florida in 2016 to be closer to family.  Prior to working in veterinary medicine, she worked at FedEx and also as a recruiter for blood donors.  Jenny started in the veterinary field in 2007 and has been learning on the job ever since.

Jenny’s love for animals started at a very young age.  She loves animals so much that she once spent an hour trying to free a mouse that was stuck in a glue trap.  Fortunately, Jenny’s efforts were successful and she was able to release the mouse!

Jenny started working at FAH in 2019.  She is currently a surgical technician but also works in ER and outpatient.  Jenny’s love for the veterinary field has grown throughout the years.  She’s developed a passion for radiology.  Even though she works with animals every day, she still gets excited when she sees a dog walking down the street or a cat outside sunbathing. Jenny takes great pleasure in helping animals and their owners.

Jenny and her husband have 6 pets of their own, a lab mix named Kamuy, a Chihuahua mix, Daisy, two cats; Roo and Nala, two jumping spiders named Muppet and Popcorn, and some fish.  They also have two sons, Liam and Finn, who are ages 7 and 2.

In her spare time Jenny likes to shoot pool, read up on medical terminology and anatomy, and spend time with family.   She is currently getting certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED so she can also help people!
