Hayley completed her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Ridgewater College and became a CVT. She started in General Practice, but quickly fell in love with Emergency/Critical Care Medicine. ... Hayley is originally from Minnesota. She moved to Florida in 2013. Hayley completed her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Ridgewater College and became a CVT. She started in General Practice, but quickly fell in love with Emergency/Critical Care Medicine. Hayley also has a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Hayley was teaching for an AVMA-accredited Vet Tech Program in Minnesota was when she found a unique passion that has never left her. Learning and teaching are her favorite methods for staying inspired and passionate about veterinary medicine. Hayley is currently in charge of our FAH staff training program. In her spare time, Hayley enjoys running marathons. So far, she has completed 20 marathons in 19 different states! She is a member of the 50 States Marathon Club. Hayley also enjoys collecting dumped garbage from the environment and taking it to the dump. Her 2-person team has collected/removed over 30 tons in about 3 years. Tires are her favorite find, as they will never biodegrade. Hayley also regularly donates platelets for chemotherapy patients and people with bleeding disorders. Hayley’s current pet is Orange Kitty, the stray who showed up and stayed. She’s gentle and precious, very picky about her food, and she defends her home. She has no dogs at this time, but yellow Labrador Retrievers have her heart.
